Waste is Amaze Fashion Show Competition – “Fairy Tales Couture”

For the 3rd time, Alam Flora will be organizing their yearly Competition called Waste is Amaze Fashion Show during Floria Putrajaya 2016. The theme for this year is “Fairy Tales Couture” in conjunction to Floria’s “The Magical Floria 2016” theme this year. This Competition is open to Malaysian public aged 18 years and above. Targeting a total of 30 participants, they will need to design their own couture and it must be made out of recycled items such as bio degradable plastic bags, newspapers, aluminum cans and plastic bottle and bottle covers; the models will exhibit these dresses and the scoring will be based on the creativity of the design, the use of recycled items and catwalk.

Last year with the theme of “The Majestic of Kebaya”, the grand prize was RM1,000, RM700 for second place and RM500 for 3rd place. This year prizes has increased to RM1,500 for grand prize, RM1,000 for second place and RM800 for 3rd place. All participants will also receive certificates for their participation. Panel of judges are Fashion Blogger, EXCO Alam Flora, Fashion Magazine Editor and Designer.
